The Day has Arrived!!!!!!!

Finally it is May 14th..................and Ky and Tambri are married and sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple..............what an incredible blessing to them, to us and to all of our families...............It was a fantastic day!! Elder Bruce C Hafen (yes about a 3rd cousin) who is a General Authority of the church performed the ceremony. Of course they are all in white in the temple ceremony, but when they came out afterwards - Tambri is in her beautiful dress and Ky chose to wear his traditional Korean hanbak.......it was stunning!

We got permission to go to Salt Lake to the wedding from our Mission President and the General Authorities over us in Salt Lake City. We were so very grateful to be able to be in attendance....it was just a choice and rich blessing to have all of our children there together and to spend a "little" time with them and with other family members. We stayed at Sherrol and Glenn's (thanks again for their hospitality and love for us.)

We also attended the reception in Centerville and saw many dear friends there whom we hadn't seen for a long time. It is a good union that unites the Ralph and Hafen family once again! I didn't really get any pictures taken and am awaiting some from kids when they get things finished. We will miss the open house in Walla Walla on the 22nd, but will get all the details from everyone. WE ARE BLESSED!!

Mother's Day 2010

It was a great day!! Larry Deal - whom we have been working with since we came - came over Saturday night with a big bouquet for us to take to the church on Sunday and then wanted us to bring it home! He also brought me a beautiful red rose corsage - I was touched. Had neat e-mails from our children, cards, packages in the mail, phone calls, and even a You tube..........made me lonesome for all of them, but grateful to be a mother! Truly one of the greatest blessings in my life.

Sister Chun (from Hawaii) came before church and put an absolutely beautiful lei around my neck (straight from Hawaii) and said, "Since my Mom passed away I needed to give this to someone I felt was most like her!" So I was quite decorated for sure!

Travis Begay (a recent convert) came over in the evening and brought me a card that was so beautiful - from he and his little girls...........in it he had written that I was just like a Mom to them and they thought of me as family.......another touching moment. Had a couple of visitors, invited the young elders over for dinner - all in all a good day!!!
