We know that our Redeemer Lives............

http://deseretbook.com/video/view/343

We just watched this video and our hearts and spirits were so touched............we wanted to share it with all those we love!

The gospel of Jesus Christ is true - we feel so privileged to be serving here among his children on the Navajo Nation................we pray that we may be worthy of His blessings and expectations of us as we serve.

We know the Savior lives! What a blessing this knowledge is to our lives. May you all know this as well is our prayer today.......

A spot of Heaven on Earth

We found a spot - 5,000 acres belongs to Nellie Lillie and she allowed us to go up into the country wherever we wanted to drive...........it was wonderful!

Farewell to Ky...........

It was so fun to have Ky come............he went to church with us on Sunday (I was asked to play the piano for meeting because the woman who usually plays couldn't find her contacts!!!) And so as I am playing I can see that there is no one to lead the music.........so I motioned for Ky to come up..............that was fun! He caused quite a stir with that!

Had dinner with the missionaries and a Navajo friend and Ky was on his way back to Albuquerque.........

We were so sad to see him go!

Window Rock

Of course we had to take the trip to "Window Rock" before Ky could leave.............we hope we are enticing all of you to make a trip this way to see the wonders of this reservation - to meet the wonderful, warm Navajo people and of course - to see US!

The Pow Wow!

These dancers were just awesome! Tribes from all over the US and Canada.........but of course the Navajo hosting the whole fair...........we loved this - it was at night and they danced from about 7:00 until 1:00 or 2:00 in the morning - we just watched the Grand Entry dances.......but you can get an idea.........

Wena Jesus Meetings...

Wena Jesus had her national meeting here with her co-workers from all over the US....so she worked hard (and we helped) to let them get a real taste of the Navajo reservation while they were here..........

Navajo Nation Fair........

This was a huge job this week.........we actually set up two booths in Nakai Hall at the fairgrounds on Wednesday and worked in them through the next 4 days. We didn't open them on Sunday because of church...........but had hundreds and hundreds of people come through on those days. There were probably about 85,000 people at the fair on Saturday and the parade was huge.......Just a couple of shots at the fair grounds in the booth...........it was so fun to talk with people about our employment office and about the church. They got 189 referrals to go and teach people............and we had many very interested in our employment resources. Elder Ulima (from Hawaii) was splitting an apple in half for me............

Sawmill Road..............

We came back from the Canyon down the dirt mountain road through Sawmill........a little tricky in the mud! I think Elder Hafen had the time of his life putting the Rav into 4-wheel all the way. It rained on us most of the way - beautiful drive.......
