Farewell to the Chun Family

We are all so sad to have the Chun Family leaving............they are moving to Utah where Brother Chun can have better care for his rehabilitation since his stroke. He is doing really good and we are all grateful. The ward and people here will miss the so much - they have added a spark and vitality to the ward here that is rare. Clayton, Cheryl, Truly, Eli, Imona and Truston are the ones that have lived here. They have nine children all in all. We have loved having them here and have become dear friends.

The party was delightful - Brother Chun loves karaoke and does some mean Elvis and Johnny Cash impersonations - he LOVES doing it.......so he entertained - they did hula dancing. Shelby Willie did the hoop dance (I love that).....fun night - fun to have Rob, Jake and Ty with us to enjoy as well.....

Walla Walla Travelers

"Hangin out" with our Walla Walla Travelers - Robert, Jake and Ty came to visit for 4 days - what a delightful time. Elder Hafen took two days and they hiked several of the canyons and saw the sights.........Every night everyone was exhausted, but delighted with their excursions.

Hopi Dancers and Day with Shirley Ann Numkena.....

What a fantastic day...................we were asked not to take pictures of the dancers - SO we honored that request..............but it was one fantastic day. Shirley Ann (a girl who was on the Indian Placement Program in Spring City, Utah) and went to Junior High with me.....we found here in Tuba City - so she invited us over to the dances - the Kachina Dancers yesterday - we had just a wonderful inside view of this wonderful event, the gentle Hopi Way People and a dear friend from days past............her parents are 93 and 94 and she is caring for them in their home. We met her siblings, her children and some grandchildren and had a wonderful time! We are so blessed to have so many wonderful lessons here - and are thankful that we are able to serve here.
