Today was a great day....................Elder Hafen spoke (giving his testimony) in sacrament meeting............it was "powerful"..............he loves these people SO much............He told them that his skin might not be brown, but his heart is.............and I believe it!
We invited Nova Ashley (the woman who does the silver work) over for dinner.............We had Elder and Sister Brown too.............I had put bread into the bread machine, so it was hot, did a meat loaf, baked potatoes, tossed salad and fruit salad and corn on the cob............and we had cake and ice cream that we'd had at the birthday yesterday.............Nova said........"I haven't eaten like this for a long, long time....................she said "this is just like the Golden Corral"...........she did eat!!! What a wonderful woman..............her stories of trying to provide for a family and a sisters family as well were heart wrenching...............we just can't believe how blessed we have been and are to have what we have! We had a great visit and then she insisted on washing our dishes...............what a delight................she said "I'm going to name this "The Hafen Golden Corral"......................

I've eaten at the Hafen's 'Golden Corral' and can attest to its premier status as an unequaled diner. Oh, how I remember with fondness those delicious meals you used to make for us, Sister Hafen! As for Elder Hafen's brown heart, if that means that it is a "loving" heart, the kind that makes everyone feel loved and welcomed, then I know exactly what you are talking about!
