We were invited up to Wena Jesus home in Sawmill to have dinner.......she works by us in the office.....She had a son and three daughters. Sawmill is a beautiful little place up in the mountains. Wena has built her whole house by herself with her families help. She is now in the process of adding on a bedroom and extension of the living area. She just buys and builds as she goes..........it is a nice home and they are gracious and wonderful people. She also has a nephew living with her (his mother is from Alaska - but he hasn't seen her for a long time). Alex is going to high school in Window Rock. Wena has home school her children, but is hoping to get them all enrolled in high school this year at Dine College. The youngest one is the one who had the accident on her bicycle. She is only 14 - so Wena is having a harder time getting her enrolled.
Wena's mother speaks very little English, but has a wonderful spirit. We wish so badly we could converse more with these dear people.
