HUGE DAY!!!

Tuesday the 11th was a huge day at the office................there is a member of the church, Ron Lee, who is coming to the reservation to build new homes.............he contacted us at the office and asked if we could help him find construction workers from our area.......we were SO excited to have a source to find work.........we have worked for weeks, calling, contacting, and having men and women in to help them write resumes and then usually type them for them. The younger people are really comfortable on the computer, but the older ones are like most people at home....very hesitant to try to use them.

Anyway..............on the 11th Ron Lee and two more of his superintendents from his work came to interview upstairs in the church above our office...............we had "50" men come to interview....and several called to set up another time if they couldn't make it!!! We are now praying that many of them will find employment.................They want SO badly to work - it has just been so exciting to see them get that glimmer of hope in their eyes and to encourage them to achieve.................this was a fantastic day!!!!

Wena Jesus also had her boss from Atlanta Georgia in to work with her, President Boone had an auditor from Salt Lake in to work with him and we had another 15 people in to do other employment things in the office.............It WAS A GREAT DAY!!!!!

That night was Elder Wilson's "20th" birthday and so we had them to dinner and did a birthday cake for him.............This is truly a mission of COOKING!!!!!!!!!!! Our grocery bill is higher than it ever was in Walla Walla.......
