Blessings -

In the church the men of the church who hold the priesthood often give blessings of health, strength, comfort to other members who desire a blessing..............This has been a choice and spiritual experience for us here............Elder Hafen has been asked by "many" people already to give blessings..............Johanna for employment, a woman who was suffering from bells palsy, a man seeking a judge position on the Navajo Nation, sicknesses of many kinds........this past week he was asked by a man to give a blessing. He said "Elder Hafen - I need you - the medicine man............." Then he recounted to us his experiences in Iraq and Desert Storm as a detonation expert - having trouble being rid of those images and feelings..........that night the blessing given by Elder Hafen was beautiful and such a wonderful spirit filled out home and hearts as we shared in this spiritual moment............he wanted direction in how to help his life be filled with peace and meaning again............

Then on Saturday he brought his 86-year old mother here for a blessing as he said "we need you again medicine man - Elder Hafen " .....................oh my goodness.................that was just an incredible experience. It left us all feeling a power that certainly was above what any of us could have imagined.........she did not speak any English at all - so her son interpreted for her........It was so emotion and so touching.............what an amazing faith she had in the blessing............she knew she would be better! And we again thanked our Heavenly Father for the wonderful privilege it is to serve here among these gentle people...........filled with faith and humility. This will rest in our hearts forever.................as one of those rare moments when "heart pictures" were indelibly written in our hearts forever.................
